English translation
'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no emigration (hijrah) after the Conquest (of Makkah), but jihad and intention remain; and when you are summoned to fight, then march out (without hesitation)." (Bukhari and Muslim)

This means that after the Conquest of Makkah (which took place in the 8th year of Hijrah) there was no longer any need to emigrate from Makkah, because Makkah had become an abode of Islam (dar al-Islam); and when a land or region is declared an abode of Islam, emigrating from it is not required. However, if there is a region where practising one's religion becomes difficult and remaining there endangers one's faith, then emigrating from it becomes obligatory — just as, when Makkah was an abode of disbelief, the emigration was made from it to Madinah. The real aim of hijrah is that a person may safeguard his religion and faith; so where it is possible to practise the religion, emigration is not required, and where one's faith falls into danger, emigration is religiously obligatory, and this principle will remain until the Day of Judgement. The Prophet ﷺ said that although that particular chapter of emigration no longer remained, jihad and intention remain — that is, striving for the supremacy of the religion and a sincere intention will always remain, and when the leader summons the people to fight, one should march out without hesitation. In this noble hadith the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared the great importance of intention, for the worth of deeds rests upon intention, as another hadith states: "Actions are but by intentions." Likewise the acceptance of jihad and of every deed depends upon intention. If the intention is purely for the pleasure of Allah, even a small deed is accepted, and if there is a flaw in the intention, even the greatest deed is rejected. For this reason sincerity and good intention must be observed in every deed, and one's deeds must be made purely for the pleasure of Allah so that they are accepted in the court of Allah. Allah has made purity of heart — a sound heart (qalb salim) — the most important condition for our salvation in the Hereafter, as He says: "The Day when neither wealth nor children will benefit anyone, except one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." (al-Shu'ara' 26:88–89) May Allah grant us all the ability to act upon the comprehensive teachings of the Prophet ﷺ with sincerity and good intention. Amin!
