سورۃ البقرۃ اور سورۃ آل عمران کی خصوصی فضیلت
حضرت ابو امامہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ: ''قرآن کریم پڑھا کرو کیونکہ وہ قیامت کے دن اپنے پڑھنے والوں کی سفارش کرے گا اور (خاص طور پر) جگمگاتی ہوئی دو سورتیں کہ وہ سورہ بقرہ اور سورہ آل عمران پڑھو کیونکہ یہ دونوں قیامت کے دن اس طرح ظاہر ہوں گی کہ وہ دو بادل ہیں یا دو سایہ کرنے والی چیزیں ہیں یا پرندوں کی صف باندھے ہوئے دو ٹکڑیاں ہیں اور وہ اپنے پڑھنے والوں کی طرف سے جھگڑیں (یعنی ان کی وکالت کریں) گی۔ اور سورہ بقرہ پڑھو کیونکہ اس کے ہمیشہ پڑھنے، اس کے مفہوم و معنی میں غور و فکر اور اس (کے احکام) پر عمل کرنا برکت (یعنی نفع عظیم) ہے اور اس کو ترک کرنا (قیامت کے دن) حسرت (یعنی ندامت کا باعث) ہوگا اور (یاد رکھو سورہ بقرہ کے طویل ہونے کی وجہ سے) اس کے پڑھنے کی طاقت وہی لوگ نہیں رکھتے جو اہلِ باطل اور سست ہوتے ہیں۔'' (مسلم)
اس پوری کائنات میں کوئی ایک چیز بھی ایسی نہیں جس کا اللہ تعالیٰ کی ذات سے اتنا قربی اور براہِ راست تعلق ہو جتنا قرآنِ مجید کا ہے، ہر چیز اور ہر ہستی کا تعلق اللہ تعالیٰ سے خالق و مخلوق اور عابد و معبود کا ہے مگر قرآنِ مجید اللہ تعالیٰ کی پیدا کی ہوئی کوئی مخلوق نہیں ہے بلکہ خود اسی کی ایک صفت اور اس کا کلام ہے جو اس نے اپنے کرم سے اپنے پیارے رسول کے ذریعے ہم تک پہنچایا ہے۔
قرآنِ مجید کی تلاوت ذوق و شوق کے ساتھ دل لگا کر کیجیے اور یہ یقین رکھیے کہ قرآنِ مجید سے شغف اللہ تعالیٰ سے شغف ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ارشاد ہے کہ میری امت کے لیے سب سے بہتر عبادت قرآن کی تلاوت ہے۔
اس حدیث میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قرآنِ مجید پڑھنے کی ترغیب دیتے ہوئے فرمایا ہے کہ قرآن اپنے اصحاب کے لیے بارگاہِ خداوندی میں شفاعت کرے گا، اصحابِ قرآن وہ سب لوگ ہیں جو قرآن پاک پر ایمان رکھتے ہوئے اور اس سے تعلق اور شغف کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی رضا اور رحمت کا وسیلہ یقین کرتے ہوئے اس سے خاص نسبت اور لگاؤ رکھیں، اس نسبت اور تعلق کی شکلیں مختلف ہو سکتی ہیں مثلاً کثرت سے اس کی تلاوت کریں، اس میں تدبر و تفکر اور اس کے احکام پر عمل کرنے کا اہتمام رکھیں یا اس کی تعلیم و ہدایت کو عام کرنے اور پھیلانے کی جد و جہد کریں، ان سب کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بشارت ہے کہ قرآن ان کے حق میں شفیع ہوگا، ہاں اخلاص یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ کی رضا اور ثواب کی نیت شرط ہے۔
اس حدیث پاک میں قرآن کی تلاوت کی عمومی ترغیب کے بعد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سورہ بقرہ اور سورہ آل عمران کی تلاوت اور قرأت کے خصوصیت کے ساتھ بھی ترغیب دی ہے اور ان دونوں سورتوں کو جگمگاتی ہوئی سورتیں فرمایا ہے جس کا مفہوم یہ ہے کہ دونوں سورتیں نورِ ہدایت اور ثواب کی زیادتی کی وجہ سے روشن ہوں گی گویا اللہ ربّ العزت کے نزدیک ان دونوں سورتوں میں اور بقیہ سورتوں میں چاند اور ستاروں کی نسبت ہے کہ یہ سورتیں تو چاند کی طرح ہیں بہ نسبت تمام سورتوں کے وہ تمام ستاروں کی طرح ہیں، ساتھ ہی یہ بھی فرمایا گیا کہ قیامت میں اور حشر میں جب ہر شخص سایہ کا بہت ہی محتاج اور ضرورت مند ہوگا یہ دونوں سورتیں بادل اور سایہ دار چیز کی طرح یا پرندوں کے پر کی طرح اپنے اصحاب پر سایہ کیے رہیں گی اور ان کی طرف سے وکالت اور جواب دہی کریں گی۔
یہ دونوں سورتیں اپنے مضامین کے لحاظ سے بہت جامع سورتیں ہیں پھر سورہ بقرہ چونکہ قرآنِ مجید کی سب سے زیادہ لمبی سورت ہے اس لیے اس کا یاد کرنا بغیر سچی لگن اور دلی شوق کے مشکل ہے، اور آخر میں سورہ بقرہ کے متعلق مزید فرمایا کہ اس کے سیکھنے اور پڑھنے میں بڑی برکت ہے اور اس سے محرومی میں بڑا خسارہ ہے اور اہلِ باطل اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے، اس حدیث کے بعض راویوں نے کہا ہے کہ اس سے مراد ساحرین ہیں اور مطلب یہ ہے کہ سورہ بقرہ کی تلاوت کا معمول رکھنے والے پر کبھی کسی جادوگر کا جادو نہیں چلے گا۔
سورہ بقرہ کی اس خاصیت اور تاثیر کا اشارہ اس حدیث سے بھی ملتا ہے جس میں فرمایا گیا ہے کہ جس گھر میں سورہ بقرہ پڑھی جائے شیطان اس گھر سے بھاگنے پر مجبور ہوتا ہے۔ (بحوالہ مسلم)

English translation
It is narrated from Abū Umāmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will intercede for those who recite it. And (especially recite) the two luminous surahs — Sūrat al-Baqarah and Sūrat Āl ʿImrān — for on the Day of Resurrection these two will appear as though they are two clouds, or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, and they will plead on behalf of those who recite them (that is, they will act as their advocates). And recite Sūrat al-Baqarah, for reciting it constantly, pondering its meaning, and acting upon (its rulings) is a blessing (an immense benefit), and abandoning it will be (on the Day of Resurrection) a cause of regret; and (bear in mind that, because of the length of Sūrat al-Baqarah) the people of falsehood and the lazy do not have the strength to recite it." (Muslim)
In this whole universe there is not a single thing that has as close and direct a connection with the Essence of Allah Almighty as the Glorious Qur'an. Every thing and every being has a relationship with Allah as creature to Creator and as worshipper to the Worshipped; but the Glorious Qur'an is not a creation made by Allah Almighty — rather it is one of His own attributes and His speech, which He, by His grace, conveyed to us through His beloved Messenger.
Recite the Glorious Qur'an with taste and eagerness and with an attentive heart, and be certain that love for the Glorious Qur'an is love for Allah Almighty. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that the best worship for my ummah is the recitation of the Qur'an.
In this hadith the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while encouraging the recitation of the Glorious Qur'an, said that the Qur'an will intercede for its companions in the court of Allah. The companions of the Qur'an are all those people who, believing in the Holy Qur'an and being certain that connection with and love for it is a means to Allah's pleasure and mercy, keep a special bond and attachment with it. The forms of this bond and connection can vary — for example, reciting it abundantly, striving to reflect and ponder over it and to act upon its rulings, or striving to spread and make common its teaching and guidance. For all of these the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the glad tidings that the Qur'an will be an intercessor on their behalf — provided there is sincerity, that is, the intention of Allah's pleasure and reward.
In this blessed hadith, after the general encouragement to recite the Qur'an, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ especially encouraged the recitation of Sūrat al-Baqarah and Sūrat Āl ʿImrān and called these two surahs "luminous." The meaning of this is that both surahs will shine on account of the light of guidance and the abundance of reward; as though, in the sight of Allah, the Lord of Glory, the relationship of these two surahs to the rest of the surahs is like that of the moon and the stars — these two surahs are like the moon, and, in comparison, all the other surahs are like the stars. It is also stated that in the Resurrection and the Gathering, when every person will be greatly in need of shade, these two surahs will keep shading their companions like a cloud, a shade-giving thing, or the wings of birds, and will plead and answer on their behalf.
These two surahs are, in respect of their subject matter, very comprehensive. Moreover, since Sūrat al-Baqarah is the longest surah of the Glorious Qur'an, memorising it is difficult without true zeal and heartfelt eagerness. And finally, concerning Sūrat al-Baqarah it was further said that there is great blessing in learning and reciting it, and great loss in being deprived of it, and that the people of falsehood have no power over it. Some of the narrators of this hadith have said that by this is meant the sorcerers, and the meaning is that no magician's magic will ever work upon one who keeps up the regular recitation of Sūrat al-Baqarah.
An indication of this property and effect of Sūrat al-Baqarah is also found in the hadith in which it is stated that in a house where Sūrat al-Baqarah is recited, Satan is compelled to flee from that house. (From Muslim)
