درود شریف کی خاص فضیلت
حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں عرض کیا: میں چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ ﷺ پر درود زیادہ بھیجا کروں (یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ سے آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کی استدعا زیادہ کیا کروں) آپ ﷺ مجھے بتا دیجیے کہ اپنی دعا میں سے کتنا حصہ آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کے لیے مخصوص کردوں؟ (یعنی میں اپنے لیے دعا کرنے میں جو وقت صرف کرتا ہوں اس میں سے کتنا وقت آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کے لیے مخصوص کردوں) آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جتنا چاہو"، میں نے عرض کیا کہ: میں اس وقت کا چوتھائی حصہ آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کے لیے مخصوص کردوں گا، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا جتنا تم چاہو، اور اگر اور زیادہ کر دو گے تو تمہارے لیے ہی بہتر ہوگا، میں نے عرض کیا: تو پھر میں آدھا وقت اس کے لیے مخصوص کرتا ہوں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جتنا تم چاہو کردو، اور اگر اور زیادہ کر دو گے تو تمہارے لیے بہتر ہی ہوگا، میں نے عرض کیا: تو پھر میں دو تہائی وقت آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کے لیے مخصوص کرتا ہوں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جتنا تم چاہو کردو، اور اگر اور زیادہ کر دو گے تو تمہارے لیے خیر ہی کا باعث ہوگا، میں نے عرض کیا: پھر تو میں اپنی دعا کا سارا ہی وقت آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ کے لیے مخصوص کرتا ہوں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اگر تم ایسا کرو گے تو تمہاری ساری فکروں اور ضرورتوں کی اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے کفایت کی جائے گی (یعنی تمہارے سارے دینی و دنیاوی معاملات غیب سے انجام پائیں گے) اور تمہارے گناہ و قصور ختم کردیے جائیں گے"۔ (ترمذی)
اس حدیث میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان محبین و مخلصین کے بارے میں جو اپنی دعائیں صرف رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے وقف کردیں، اور اپنے ذاتی مسائل و مقاصد کے لیے دعاؤں کی جگہ بھی بس آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ بھیجیں، بتایا ہے کہ ان پر اللہ تعالیٰ کا یہ خاص الخاص فضل و کرم ہوگا کہ ان کے مسائل و ضرورتیں غیب سے حل کیے جائیں گے اور ان کے گناہ دھو ڈالے جائیں گے۔ اس کا راز یہ ہے کہ جس طرح قرآن مجید کی تلاوت سے خاص تعلق اور اسی کو اپنا وظیفہ بنالینا اللہ تعالیٰ کی مقدس کتاب پر ایمان اور اس سے محبت و تعلق کی خاص نشانی ہے، اسی طرح رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر صلوٰۃ و سلام سے ایسا تعلق کہ اپنے ذاتی مقاصد و مسائل کے لیے دعا کی جگہ بھی صرف آپ ﷺ پر صلوٰۃ و سلام بھیجا جائے، اللہ تعالیٰ کے محبوب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر کامل ایمان اور سچے ایمانی تعلق و قلبی محبت کی علامت ہے، ایسے مخلص بندے بے شک اس بات کے مستحق ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے سارے مسائل و مشکلات اور ضرورتیں اپنی بے پایہ رحمت سے بلا ان کے مانگے پوری فرمائے۔
English translation
Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): 'I wish to send abundant blessings (durood) upon you (that is, to ask Allah abundantly for blessings upon you). Tell me how much of my supplication I should set aside for sending blessings upon you?' (Meaning: of the time I spend supplicating for myself, how much should I devote to sending blessings upon you?) He said: "As much as you wish." I said: 'I will set aside a quarter of that time for blessings upon you.' He said: "As you wish, but if you do more it will be the better for you." I said: 'Then I will devote half.' He said: "As you wish, but if you do more it will be better for you." I said: 'Then I will devote two-thirds of the time to blessings upon you.' He said: "As you wish, but if you do more it will be a source of good for you." I said: 'Then I will devote the whole of my supplication time to sending blessings upon you.' He said: "If you do so, then all your cares and needs will be sufficed by Allah the Exalted (that is, all your religious and worldly affairs will be accomplished from the unseen), and your sins and faults will be wiped away." (Tirmidhi)
In this hadith the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told those devoted, sincere lovers of his who dedicate all their supplications solely to him — giving even the place of prayers for their own aims and needs to sending blessings upon him — that Allah the Exalted's most special grace and favour would be upon them: that their problems and needs would be solved from the unseen and their sins washed away. The secret of this is that, just as a special attachment to reciting the Holy Qur'an and making it one's regular practice is a sign of faith in Allah's sacred Book and of love and connection with it, likewise having such a bond with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that one gives even the place of prayer for one's own aims and needs solely to sending blessings and salutations upon him is a sign of perfect faith in Allah's beloved Messenger and of a true faith-bond and heartfelt love. Such sincere servants are without doubt deserving that Allah the Exalted, out of His boundless mercy, should fulfil all their problems, difficulties and needs without their even asking.
