سود
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: "سود خوری کے ستر (۷۰) حصے ہیں، ان میں سے ادنیٰ اور معمولی ایسا ہے جیسے کہ اپنی ماں کے ساتھ زنا کرنا"۔ (سنن ابن ماجہ)
سود روحِ ایمانی کے لیے انتہائی مضر اور قاتل شے ہے، سود ہی وہ گناہ ہے جس کے بارے میں قرآنِ پاک میں ہے کہ جو لوگ اس سے باز نہ آئیں گے ان کے خلاف اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی طرف سے اعلانِ جنگ ہے، اس سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کے نزدیک یہ گناہ دوسرے سب گناہوں سے بڑا اور غلیظ ترین گناہ ہے، اس حدیث مبارکہ سے بھی یہ بات معلوم ہوتی ہے کہ سود خوری اپنی ماں کے ساتھ زنا کرنے سے بھی بدرجہا زیادہ اور غلیظ ترین گناہ ہے۔
English translation
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Usury (riba) has seventy (70) parts, the least and most trivial of which is like a man committing adultery with his own mother." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
Usury is extremely harmful and fatal to the spirit of faith. Usury is the very sin about which the Holy Qur'an says that those who do not desist from it face a declaration of war from Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. This shows that in the sight of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ this sin is greater and more abominable than all other sins. This blessed hadith too makes clear that consuming usury is by far a greater and more abominable sin than committing adultery with one's own mother.
