مال امت کا خاص فتنہ
کعب بن عیاض سے روایت ہے کہ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے سنا، آپ ﷺ ارشاد فرماتے تھے کہ: ”ہر امت کے لیے ایک فتنہ ہے، اور میری امت کا فتنہ مال ہے“۔ (ترمذی)
انسان کی سب سے بڑی بدبختی اور مختلف قسم کی بدکاریوں کی جڑ یہ ہے کہ وہ اللہ کے احکام اور آخرت کے انجام سے بے فکر اور لاپروا ہو کر زندگی گذارے، اور اپنی نفسانی خواہشات اور اس دنیا کی فانی لذتوں کو اپنا مقصد حیات بنالے، مال کی محبت بھی انہی خواہشات میں سے ایک ہے، زر و مال کی محبت دراصل ایمان کے لیے سب سے زیادہ تباہ کن ہے، مال و دولت کی حرص اور اس کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے انسان اندھا ہو کر اپنے ضمیر، اپنے ایمان اور اپنے اخلاق کو پس پشت ڈال دیتا ہے، مال کی محبت ہم سے ایمان کی دولت چھین لیتی ہے، اور بے شک اس کی ہوس ہمارے لیے اس دور کا سب سے بڑا فتنہ ہے، جس نے لاتعداد بندوں کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی بغاوت و نافرمانی کے راستے پر ڈال دیا ہے، مال کی مثل تو دوا جیسی ہے کہ ضرورت کے حساب سے ہو تو فائدہ مند ہے اور اگر اس میں زیادتی کر دی جائے تو صحت کے بجائے بیماری کو اور بڑھا دیتی ہے، لہٰذا، ان حالات میں ہم سب کو چاہیے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایمان کامل رکھتے ہوئے اس کے دیے ہوئے وسائل پر قناعت کریں، رزق اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاتھ میں ہے، اس لیے مال و دولت کی حرص میں اپنے اخلاق و ضمیر کا سودا نہ کریں اور اپنے دین وایمان کو مال پر قربان نہ کریں۔
English translation
Narrated Ka'b ibn 'Iyad: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Every nation has a trial, and the trial of my nation is wealth.” (Tirmidhi)
The greatest misfortune of a person, and the root of many kinds of misdeeds, is that he lives heedless of and indifferent to Allah's commands and the outcome of the Hereafter, making his base desires and the fleeting pleasures of this world the goal of his life. The love of wealth is one of these desires; indeed, the love of riches is the most ruinous thing for one's faith. In his greed for wealth a person becomes blind and casts aside his conscience, his faith and his morals, and the love of wealth robs us of the treasure of faith. Without doubt this craving is the greatest trial of our age, one that has driven countless servants onto the path of rebellion and disobedience against Allah. Wealth is like medicine: taken as needed it is beneficial, but taken in excess it breeds sickness instead of health. Therefore, in these times, we should all keep complete faith in Allah and be content with the means He has given us; sustenance is in Allah's hands, so let us not barter away our morals and conscience out of greed for wealth, nor sacrifice our religion and faith for its sake.
