دین کی دعوت
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جس نے کسی کو ہدایت کی طرف بلایا تو اس کو ان تمام لوگوں کے برابر اجر (ثواب) ملے گا، جو اس کی پیروی کرنے والوں کو ملے گا، یہ ان کے اجروں سے کچھ کمی نہیں کرے گا، اور جو کسی کو کسی گمراہی کی طرف بلائے گا تو اس پر ان تمام لوگوں کے گناہوں کا اتنا وبال بھی ہوگا جو اس کی پیروی کرنے والوں کو گناہ کرنے کا ہوگا، یہ ان کے گناہوں میں سے کچھ کمی نہیں کرے گا“۔ (مسلم)
خدا کے دین کو اس دنیا میں جاری و ساری کرنا، اس کے دین کو قائم رکھنے کے لیے تن من دھن لگا دینا، اس کے دین کو عملاً نافذ کرنے کے عزم کو اپنی زندگی کا نصب العین بنا لینا، معاشرے میں نیکیوں کو پھیلانے اور برائیوں کو ختم کرنے کی کوشش کرنا، آخرت میں اللہ تعالیٰ کو راضی کرنے کے حصول کو اپنی زندگی کا مقصد بنا لینا ایک مومن کے لیے سب سے بڑی سعادت ہے، خاتم النبیین صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تیئس (۲۳) سالہ داعیانہ زندگی ہمیں یہ پیغام دیتی ہے کہ آج ہم بھی اپنے پیارے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اسوہ پر عمل کرتے ہوئے دعوت دین کی جدوجہد میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں، کیونکہ نبوت و رسالت حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ختم ہونے کے بعد یہ ذمہ داری تا قیامت اب حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی امت کے سپرد کر دی گئی ہے، اور دراصل یہ اس امت کی بہت بڑی فضیلت ہے، قرآن شریف میں اسی کام اور اسی دعوت کو اس امت کے وجود کا مقصد بتلایا گیا ہے، ترجمہ:
”تم بہترین امت ہو، جنہیں لوگوں کی (ہدایت) کے لیے دنیا میں بھیجا گیا ہے، تم نیکی کا حکم دیتے ہو اور برائی سے روکتے رہو“ (آل عمران۔۱۱۰)۔
اس آیت سے یہ معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ امت محمدیہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دنیا کی دوسری امتوں سے اس لحاظ سے ممتاز اور افضل ہے کہ خود ایمان اور نیکی کے راستے پر چلنے کے علاوہ دوسروں کو بھی نیکی کے راستے پر چلانے اور برائیوں سے بچانے کی کوشش کرنا اس کی ذمہ داری ہے۔
بھائیو! آج مسلمانوں پر جو مصیبتیں، تکلیفیں اور ذلتیں مسلط ہیں، اس کی سب سے بڑی وجہ یہی ہے کہ ہم دین کی خدمت و دعوت اور اصلاح و ہدایت کے کام کو چھوڑے ہوئے ہیں جس کے لیے ہم پیدا کیے گئے ہیں، اور ختم نبوت کے بعد جس کے ہم مکمل ذمہ دار بنا دیے گئے ہیں۔
آئیے! عہد کریں کہ آئندہ ہم اس فرض سے غافل نہیں ہوں گے، اللہ تعالیٰ ہمارا مددگار ہو (آمین)۔
”تم بہترین امت ہو، جنہیں لوگوں کی (ہدایت) کے لیے دنیا میں بھیجا گیا ہے، تم نیکی کا حکم دیتے ہو اور برائی سے روکتے رہو“ (آل عمران۔۱۱۰)۔
اس آیت سے یہ معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ امت محمدیہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دنیا کی دوسری امتوں سے اس لحاظ سے ممتاز اور افضل ہے کہ خود ایمان اور نیکی کے راستے پر چلنے کے علاوہ دوسروں کو بھی نیکی کے راستے پر چلانے اور برائیوں سے بچانے کی کوشش کرنا اس کی ذمہ داری ہے۔
بھائیو! آج مسلمانوں پر جو مصیبتیں، تکلیفیں اور ذلتیں مسلط ہیں، اس کی سب سے بڑی وجہ یہی ہے کہ ہم دین کی خدمت و دعوت اور اصلاح و ہدایت کے کام کو چھوڑے ہوئے ہیں جس کے لیے ہم پیدا کیے گئے ہیں، اور ختم نبوت کے بعد جس کے ہم مکمل ذمہ دار بنا دیے گئے ہیں۔
آئیے! عہد کریں کہ آئندہ ہم اس فرض سے غافل نہیں ہوں گے، اللہ تعالیٰ ہمارا مددگار ہو (آمین)۔
English translation
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever calls people to guidance will have a reward equal to that of all those who follow him, without that diminishing anything from their rewards; and whoever calls people to misguidance will bear a burden of sin equal to that of all those who follow him, without that diminishing anything from their sins.” (Muslim)
To establish Allah's religion in this world and to keep it established, to devote one's body, mind and wealth to it, to make the firm resolve to put His religion into practice the aim of one's life, to strive to spread good and root out evil in society, and to make the winning of Allah's pleasure in the Hereafter the goal of one's life — this is the greatest good fortune for a believer. The twenty-three (23) year life of calling to Allah of the Seal of the Prophets ﷺ gives us the message that today too we should play our part in the struggle of inviting people to the religion, following the example of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. For, since prophethood and messengership ended with the Prophet ﷺ, this responsibility has, until the Day of Resurrection, been entrusted to the Ummah of the Prophet ﷺ; and this is in fact a great distinction of this Ummah. In the Noble Qur'an this very task and this very call have been declared the purpose of this Ummah's existence. Translation of the verse: “You are the best nation brought forth for mankind (for their guidance): you enjoin good and forbid evil.” (Aal 'Imran 110)
From this verse it is clear that the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ is distinguished and superior to the other nations of the world in that, besides walking the path of faith and goodness themselves, it is their responsibility to strive to bring others too onto the path of goodness and to save them from evil.
O brothers! The calamities, hardships and humiliations that afflict Muslims today are chiefly because we have abandoned the work of serving, calling to, reforming and guiding people in the religion — the very work for which we were created and for which, after the ending of prophethood, we were made fully responsible. Come, let us pledge that henceforth we will not be heedless of this duty. May Allah be our helper. (Ameen)
