حقیقی بادشاہت

Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junadah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) related from Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, that He said: "O My servants, I have forbidden injustice for Myself, and I have made it forbidden among you, so do not wrong one another. O My servants, all of you are hungry except those whom I feed, so ask Me for food and I will feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except those whom I clothe, so ask Me for clothing and I will clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so ask Me for forgiveness and I will forgive you. O My servants, you can never reach My harm so as to harm Me, nor reach My benefit so as to benefit Me (that is, you have no power to harm or benefit Me). O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, your humans and your jinn, were all as pious as the most God-fearing heart among you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, your humans and your jinn, were all as wicked as the most immoral and sinful heart among you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, humans and jinn, were to gather together on a single open plain and ask of Me, and I gave every one of them what he asked, that would not decrease what I have any more than a needle decreases the water of the sea when it is dipped into it. O My servants, it is only your deeds that I record for you, and then I recompense you for them in full; so whoever finds good, let him praise Allah, and whoever finds otherwise, let him blame no one but himself."

This hadith describes the power and might of Allah. Allah is the Self-Sufficient, Almighty Being whom nothing can benefit and nothing can harm; all are in need of Him and dependent upon Him. Therefore everything should be sought from Him alone — from guidance to sustenance. The treasuries of all things are with Him, treasuries so boundless that they never diminish. Likewise His sovereignty and dominion are so firm that the opposition or support of the entire universe has no effect upon them. Allah Himself says: "To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is in them, and He has full power over all things." (Al-Ma'idah 120)

It is our duty to treat people well for the sake of Allah. Allah dislikes injustice, so we too should not let anyone be wronged, and for our every need and want we should turn to Allah alone, for He is the true King who honours whom He wills and humbles whom He wills. Allah says: "Say (O Prophet): O Allah, Master of the kingdom! You give kingship to whom You will and You take kingship away from whom You will; You honour whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good; surely You have power over all things." (Aal-e-Imran 26)

That is, since Allah possesses such power and might — which we cannot even fully comprehend — who turns a king into a beggar and a beggar into a king, and who alone owns all authority, a person's good lies in belonging wholly to Allah, in supplicating and seeking forgiveness from Him alone, and in asking his needs of Him alone, rather than taking as friends and protectors those who do not even own benefit or harm for their own selves. May Allah grant us all the correct understanding of faith and Islam. Amin!
