جنگ کے وقت کی دعا
حضرت عبید بن عمیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے رکوع کے بعد یہ دعا مانگی: “الٰہی! ہماری اور تمام مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں، مسلمان مردوں اور مسلمان عورتوں کی بخشش فرما، ان کے دلوں میں الفت ڈال دے، ان کے درمیان اصلاح فرما، اپنی راہ کے دشمن کے مقابلے میں ان کی مدد فرما، اے اللہ! ان اہلِ کتاب کافروں پر لعنت کر جو (لوگوں کو) تیری راہ سے روکتے ہیں، تیرے رسولوں کو جھٹلاتے ہیں، تیرے دوستوں سے جنگ کرتے ہیں، یا اللہ! ان کے درمیان اختلاف ڈال دے، ان کے قدم ڈگمگا دے اور ان پر ایسا عذاب نازل فرما جو مجرم لوگوں سے پھیرا نہیں جاتا، بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم، اے اللہ! ہم تجھ سے مدد اور بخشش طلب کرتے ہیں اور تیری تعریف کرتے ہیں، تیری ناشکری نہیں کرتے، جو تیری نافرمانی کرے ہم اس سے قطع تعلق کرتے ہیں اور اسے چھوڑتے ہیں۔ بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم، یا اللہ! ہم تیری ہی بندگی کرتے ہیں، صرف تیرے لیے ہی نماز پڑھتے ہیں، صرف تجھے ہی سجدہ کرتے ہیں، تیری راہ میں محنت اور جدوجہد کرتے ہیں، تیرے بڑے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں، ہم تیری رحمت کے امیدوار ہیں، بے شک تیرا عذاب کافروں پر پہنچ کر رہے گا”۔ (بیہقی)
دعا و مناجات اور اپنے رب سے رازونیاز کا سب سے موزوں وقت وہ ہوتا ہے جب بندہ درِ بارِ الٰہی میں نماز میں حاضر ہوتا ہے، اسی نماز میں زندگی اور حرارت پیدا ہوتی ہے اور یہ نماز ہی ہماری زندگی کے سرچشمے کا راست رابطہ ہمارے خالق و مالک سے جوڑتی ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا مانگنا عین تقاضائے بندگی ہے اور اس سے منہ موڑنے کا مطلب ہے کہ انسان تکبر میں مبتلا ہے، اس لیے اپنے خالق و مالک کے آگے اعترافِ عبودیت کرنے سے کتراتا ہے، جبکہ ہر حالت میں اللہ تعالیٰ سے ہی استعانت کرنی چاہیے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہی ہماری حاجت پوری کرنے والا ہے۔
اے زمین و آسمان کے مالک! اے ساری کائنات کے تنہا و یکتا بادشاہ! ہمارے جرم بہت زیادہ ہیں مگر تیرے رحم سے زیادہ نہیں، اے اللہ! ہم بے بس ہوگئے ہیں، اے اللہ! ہم تجھ سے تیری رحمت کے طلب گار ہیں، یا اللہ! ہم تنہا ہیں، ہوائیں ہمارے مخالف ہیں، فضائیں ہمارے مخالف ہیں، ہمارے اپنے ہمارے مخالف ہیں، اے اللہ! پوری دنیا تیرے حبیب کی امت کی دشمن بن چکی ہے، اے اللہ! پوری دنیا کا باطل ایک ہوچکا ہے اور تیرے حبیب کی امت کو مٹانے پر تلا ہوا ہے، اے اللہ! آج تیرے محبوب کی امت بھیڑ بکری کی طرح بے قیمت ہوگئی ہے، بھیڑ بکری کو مارتے ہوئے بھی لوگ کچھ سوچتے ہیں لیکن تیری اس امت کے خون بہاتے ہوئے کسی کو رحم نہیں آتا، یا اللہ! ہماری حفاظت فرما، ہماری جان، ہمارے مال، ہماری عزت، ہماری اولاد اور ہمارے دین کی حفاظت فرما، چاروں طرف ظلم کا راج ہے، چاروں طرف قبر کا قہر ہے، اے زمین و آسمان کے قاہر! ان زمین کے قاہروں پر قہر فرما، ہماری بے بسی پر رحم فرما اور ہمیں ذلیل ہونے سے بچا۔
اے میرے مالک! تو کہاں ہے، جدھر بھی نگاہ کرتے ہیں چاروں طرف کفر ہی کفر، ظلمت ہی ظلمت ہے، ہم چاروں طرف سے ستائے ہوئے ہیں، یا اللہ! چاروں طرف سے آفات نے گھیرا ہوا ہے، چاروں طرف خوف پھیلا ہوا ہے، چاروں طرف بے چینی چھائی ہوئی ہے، اے اللہ! تو ہمیں اپنی حفاظت میں لے لے، اے اللہ! تو ہمیں اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے، ہمیں دشمنوں کے حوالے نہ فرما، اللہ! تو ہمارے دین کا خود نگہبان بن اور ہمارا بھی نگہبان بن جا، یا اللہ! ہمارا والی بن جا، نصیر بن جا، وکیل بن جا، حفیظ بن جا۔ اے اللہ! تو نے خود اپنے بندوں کو اس طرح مانگنے کا طریقہ بتایا ہے:
“اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے گناہ بخش دے اور ہمارے معاملات میں ہماری زیادتیوں کو معاف فرما، ہمیں ثابت قدم رکھ اور کافروں کے مقابلے میں ہماری مدد فرما”۔ (آل عمران۔۱۴۷)
یا اللہ! ہمارے حال پر رحم فرما دے، یا اللہ! جس طرح تو ہر رات کا اندھیرا سورج کے ذریعے دور کرتا ہے، کفر کی رات کا اندھیرا تو ہدایت کے سورج سے ختم فرما، یا اللہ! ہمیں اس ظلمت سے نکال لے اور کافروں کے مقابلے میں ہمیں فتح یاب فرما، آمین یا رب العالمین!

یا اللہ! ہمارے حال پر رحم فرما دے، یا اللہ! جس طرح تو ہر رات کا اندھیرا سورج کے ذریعے دور کرتا ہے، کفر کی رات کا اندھیرا تو ہدایت کے سورج سے ختم فرما، یا اللہ! ہمیں اس ظلمت سے نکال لے اور کافروں کے مقابلے میں ہمیں فتح یاب فرما، آمین یا رب العالمین!
English translation
Ubayd ibn Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) made this supplication after the ruku' (bowing): “O Allah, forgive us and all the believing men and believing women, and the Muslim men and Muslim women; put affection in their hearts; set right the affairs between them; help them against the enemy of Your path. O Allah, curse those disbelievers among the People of the Book who bar (people) from Your path, who deny Your messengers and who fight Your friends. O Allah, sow discord among them, make their feet slip, and send down upon them a punishment that is not turned away from the criminal people. In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. O Allah, we seek from You help and forgiveness, and we praise You and are not ungrateful to You; we cut off relations with, and forsake, anyone who disobeys You. In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. O Allah, You alone we worship, for You alone we pray, to You alone we prostrate, in Your path we strive and struggle, we fear Your severe punishment, and we hope for Your mercy. Surely Your punishment will reach the disbelievers.” (Bayhaqi)
The most fitting time for supplication, private prayer and intimate conversation with one's Lord is when the servant stands before the Divine Court in prayer; it is in this very prayer that life and warmth are born, and it is prayer that joins the wellspring of our life in a direct link with our Creator and Master. To ask of Allah is the very demand of servitude, and to turn away from it means that a person is afflicted with arrogance, so that he shrinks from acknowledging his servitude before his Creator and Master — whereas in every state one should seek help only from Allah, for it is Allah alone who fulfils our needs.
O Master of the heavens and the earth! O sole and unique King of the whole universe! Our sins are very many, but not more than Your mercy. O Allah, we have become helpless. O Allah, we beg You for Your mercy. O Allah, we are alone; the winds are against us, the airs are against us, our own people are against us. O Allah, the whole world has become an enemy of the Ummah of Your Beloved. O Allah, all the falsehood of the world has united and is bent on wiping out the Ummah of Your Beloved. O Allah, today the Ummah of Your Beloved has become as worthless as sheep and goats; people think a little even when slaughtering sheep and goats, yet no one feels any mercy while shedding the blood of this Ummah of Yours. O Allah, protect us; protect our lives, our wealth, our honour, our children and our faith. Oppression reigns on every side, the terror of the grave is on every side. O Subduer of the heavens and the earth, unleash Your wrath upon these tyrants of the earth, have mercy on our helplessness, and save us from being humiliated.
O my Master, where are You? Wherever we look, on every side there is nothing but disbelief and darkness upon darkness; we are afflicted from every side. O Allah, calamities have surrounded us on every side, fear has spread on every side, restlessness has settled on every side. O Allah, take us into Your protection; O Allah, take us into the shade of Your mercy; do not hand us over to the enemies. O Allah, be the Guardian of our faith Yourself, and be our Protector too. O Allah, be our Patron, be our Helper, be our Trustee, be our Preserver. O Allah, You Yourself have taught Your servants to ask in this way:
“Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make our feet firm, and help us against the disbelieving people.” (Al-i-Imran 147)
O Allah, have mercy on our condition. O Allah, just as You remove the darkness of every night by means of the sun, remove the darkness of the night of disbelief with the sun of guidance; O Allah, bring us out of this darkness and grant us victory over the disbelievers. Amin, O Lord of the worlds!
