رمضان کی آخری رات اور مغفرت و بخشش
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "رمضان کی آخری رات میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی امت کی مغفرت اور بخشش کا فیصلہ کیا جاتا ہے۔" آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے دریافت کیا گیا، یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! کیا وہ شب قدر ہوتی ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ: "شب قدر رات نہیں ہوتی، لیکن بات یہ ہے کہ عمل کرنے والا عمل کرتا ہے، جب اپنا عمل پورا کر لیتا ہے تو اس کو پوری اجرت دی جاتی ہے۔" (مسند احمد)
رمضان المبارک ایک عظیم مہینہ ہے، جس میں نیکیوں کا اجر بڑھا دیا جاتا ہے، درجات بلند کیے جاتے ہیں، جنت کے دروازے کھول دیے جاتے ہیں، جہنم کے دروازے بند کر دیے جاتے ہیں، شیاطین قید کر دیے جاتے ہیں، گناہوں کو معاف کیا جاتا ہے اور خطاؤں سے درگزر کیا جاتا ہے، اس مبارک مہینے میں ویسے تو ہر لمحہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل و کرم اور رحمت کی بارش ہوتی رہتی ہے لیکن آخری عشرے میں تو اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزول رحمت کی انتہا ہو جاتی ہے، یعنی یہ عشرہ دریائے رحمت کے جوش کا عشرہ ہے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ رحمت اور مغفرت کے بعد اپنے بندوں کی دوزخ سے نجات اور رہائی کا فیصلہ فرماتا ہے، اسی عشرے میں اعتکاف جیسی عبادت مقرر کی گئی اور اسی میں وہ ایک عظیم الشان اور بلند مرتبہ رات ہے جس میں قرآن مجید کا نزول ہوا اور جو کہ ہزار مہینوں سے افضل ترین رات ہے، اسی طرح یہ ماہ مبارک کی آخری رات کی جو فضیلت حاصل ہے اس کا اندازہ اس حدیث مبارک سے واضح طور پر ہو جاتا ہے۔
اللہ تعالیٰ رمضان المبارک میں روزانہ افطار کے وقت ایسے دس لاکھ آدمیوں کو جہنم سے خلاصی مرحمت فرماتے ہیں جو جہنم کے مستحق ہو چکے تھے، اور جب رمضان المبارک کا آخری دن ہوتا ہے تو یہ رمضان المبارک سے آج تک جس قدر لوگ جہنم سے آزاد کیے گئے تھے ان کے برابر اس ایک دن میں آزاد فرماتے ہیں۔
رمضان المبارک کی آخری رات خاص مغفرت اور بخشش کے فیصلے کی رات ہے، لیکن اس رات میں مغفرت اور بخشش کا فیصلہ انہی بندوں کے لیے ہوگا جو رمضان المبارک کے عملی مطالبات پورے کر کے اس کا استحقاق پیدا کر لیں، اس حدیث سے ایک اور اہم نکتے کی بھی وضاحت ہوتی ہے کہ مغفرت و بخشش کی یہ سعادت لیلۃ القدر کی وجہ سے عطا نہیں ہوتی بلکہ اس عظیم فریضہ کی تکمیل کی وجہ سے ملتی ہے، جس کی ادائیگی کا حکم اللہ تعالیٰ نے بندوں کو دیا ہے اور وہ ایمان اور احتساب کے ساتھ روزہ رکھنا ہے۔
اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے نیک صالح بندوں کو جو اس مہینے کی قدر کر کے اپنے نفس کو لگام دے کر اعمال صالحہ کا ذخیرہ جمع کرتے ہیں ان کو ایسے ہی عظیم الشان اجر عطا فرمائیں گے جیسے کہ اس مزدور کو اس کی اجرت دی جاتی ہے جو کہ اپنا کام احسن طریقے سے پایہ تکمیل تک پہنچاتا ہے، سبحان اللہ! وہ کتنے خوش قسمت لوگ ہوں گے جن کے لیے یہ مہینہ باعث مغفرت اور آتش جہنم سے خلاصی کا ہوگا، اللہ تعالیٰ ہم سب کو اپنے فضل و کرم سے ان لوگوں میں شامل فرمائے۔ آمین!

English translation
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "On the last night of Ramadan the forgiveness and pardon of the Ummah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is decreed." He was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is that the Night of Decree?" He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: "It is not (necessarily) the Night of Decree; but the matter is that a worker keeps working, and when he completes his work he is given his full wage." (Musnad Ahmad)
Ramadan is a magnificent month in which the reward of good deeds is multiplied, ranks are raised, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained; sins are forgiven and faults overlooked. In this blessed month every moment sees the outpouring of Allah's grace and mercy, but in the last ten days the descent of His mercy reaches its peak — these ten days are the ten of the surging river of mercy — and after mercy and forgiveness Allah decrees for His servants deliverance and release from the Fire. It is in these ten days that the worship of I'tikaf was prescribed, and in them is that great and lofty night in which the Qur'an was revealed and which is the most excellent of nights, better than a thousand months. Likewise the merit of the last night of this blessed month is made plainly evident by this hadith.
In Ramadan, at the time of iftar each day, Allah frees a million such people from Hell who had become deserving of it; and when the last day of Ramadan comes, on that single day He frees as many as had been freed from Hell from the beginning of Ramadan until then.
The last night of Ramadan is a night of the special decree of forgiveness and pardon; but this decree of forgiveness will be for those servants who fulfil the practical demands of Ramadan and so earn its entitlement. This hadith also clarifies an important point: that this blessing of forgiveness and pardon is not granted because of Laylat al-Qadr, but is attained through the completion of this great obligation whose fulfilment Allah has commanded His servants — namely fasting with faith and hope of reward.
Allah will grant His righteous servants — who value this month, bridle their souls, and gather a store of good deeds — a magnificent reward, just as the labourer is given his wage who brings his work to completion in the best manner. Glory be to Allah! How fortunate will be those people for whom this month becomes a cause of forgiveness and release from the Fire of Hell. May Allah, by His grace and mercy, include us all among them. Ameen!
