سورۃ کہف کی خاص فضیلت
حضرت ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: ”جو شخص سورۃ کہف کی پہلی دس آیتیں یاد کرے تو وہ دجال کے شر سے بچایا جائے گا۔“ (مسلم)
قرآن مجید کی عظمت کے لیے بس اتنا کافی ہے کہ وہ کلامِ اللہ ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی حقیقی صفت ہے، واقعہ یہ ہے کہ اس دنیا میں جو کچھ بھی ہے یہاں تک کہ زمینی مخلوقات میں خانہ کعبہ اور انبیاء علیہم السلام کی مقدس ہستیاں اور عالمِ بالا و عالمِ غیب کی مخلوقات میں عرش، کرسی، لوح و قلم، جنت اور جنت کی نعمتیں اور اللہ کے مقرب ترین فرشتے، یہ سب اپنی مسلم حیثیت کے باوجود غیر اللہ اور مخلوق میں ہیں، لیکن قرآن مجید اللہ تعالیٰ کی پیدا کی ہوئی اور اس سے الگ کوئی چیز نہیں ہے (یعنی اس کی مخلوق نہیں) بلکہ اس کی حقیقی صفت (کلام) ہے جو اس کی ذاتِ عالی کے ساتھ قائم ہے، یہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا بے انتہا کرم اور اس کی عظیم ترین نعمت ہے کہ اس نے اپنے رسولِ امین کے ذریعہ وہ کلام ہم تک پہنچایا اور ہمیں اس لائق بنایا کہ اس کی تلاوت کر سکیں اور اپنی زبان سے اس کو پڑھ سکیں، پھر اس کو سمجھ کر اپنی زندگی کا راہنما بنا سکیں۔
قرآن مجید کی تلاوت اور اسے پڑھنے پڑھانے کا ثواب محتاج بیان نہیں، تمام علماء اس پر متفق ہیں کہ کوئی ذکر، تلاوتِ کلامِ مجید سے زیادہ ثواب نہیں رکھتا، قرآن مجید کا پڑھنا بندے کو اللہ تعالیٰ کا قرب بخشتا ہے، قلب کو عرفانِ الٰہی اور ذکرِ اللہ کے نور سے روشن کرتا ہے اور قیامت کے روز اللہ تعالیٰ کی بارگاہ میں شفاعت کرے گا۔
بعض احادیث میں خاص خاص سورتوں اور آیتوں کے فضائل و برکات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیان فرمائے ہیں، اس حدیث مبارکہ میں سورۃ کہف کی خاص فضیلت کا ذکر ہے جو کہ صرف اسی سورۃ کے ساتھ مخصوص ہے۔
ایک اور روایت میں شروع کی بجائے آخر کی دس آیتوں کا ذکر ہے، ایک اور روایت میں یاد کرنے کی بجائے صرف پڑھنے کا ذکر ہے۔ (بحوالہ مسلم)
ایک اور روایت میں ہے کہ جو شخص سورۃ کہف کی ابتدائی تین آیتیں پڑھے گا وہ دجال کے فتنے سے بچایا جائے گا۔ (بحوالہ ترمذی)
دجال کا ظہور قیامت کے قریب ہوگا اور اسے اللہ تعالیٰ بعض خارقِ عادت کاموں پر قدرت دے گا کہ جنہیں دیکھ کر بہت سے کمزور ایمان والے لوگ ایمان کھو بیٹھیں گے، اس لیے یہ فتنہ بہت ہی سخت اور نہایت صبر آزما ہوگا، اسی لیے ہر پیغمبر نے اپنی امت کو اس سے ڈرایا ہے اور ہمارے پیغمبر نبیِ کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی اپنی امت کو اس فتنے سے خبردار اور اس سے بچنے اور پناہ مانگنے کی تاکید و تلقین فرمائی ہے۔
علماء نے ان احادیث کی روشنی میں یہ فرمایا ہے کہ دراصل سورۃ کہف کے ابتدائی حصے میں جو تمہیدی مضمون ہے اور اسی کے ساتھ اصحابِ کہف کا جو واقعہ بیان کیا گیا ہے اس میں ہر دجالی فتنے کا پورا توڑ موجود ہے اور جس دل کو ان حقائق اور مضامین کا یقین نصیب ہو جائے جو کہف کی ان ابتدائی آیتوں میں بیان کیے گئے ہیں وہ دل کسی دجالی فتنے سے کبھی متاثر نہ ہوگا، اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ کے جو بندے ان آیتوں کی اس خاصیت اور برکت پر یقین کرتے ہوئے ان کو اپنے دل و دماغ میں محفوظ کریں گے اور ان کی تلاوت کریں گے اللہ تعالیٰ ان کو بھی دجالی فتنوں سے محفوظ رکھے گا۔
ایک اور دوسری روایت میں ہے کہ جو سورۃ کہف کا شروع اخیر پڑھے گا وہ سر سے قدم تک نورانی ہو جائے گا۔ (بحوالہ مسند احمد و طبرانی)
ایک اور روایت میں ہے کہ جو شخص جمعہ کے دن سورۃ کہف پڑھے گا تو اس کے لیے (یعنی اس کے دل میں ایمان و ہدایت کا) نور دوسرے جمعہ تک روشن رہتا ہے۔ (بحوالہ بیہقی و حاکم)
اس حدیث سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ سورۃ کہف کو جمعہ کے ساتھ کوئی خاص مناسبت ہے، جس کی وجہ سے اس دن میں اس کی تلاوت کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خصوصیت کے ساتھ ترغیب دی ہے اور فرمایا ہے کہ جمعہ کے دن سورۃ کہف کے پڑھنے سے قلب میں ایک خاص نور پیدا ہوگا جس کی روشنی اور برکت اگلے جمعہ تک قائم رہے گی۔

English translation
Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah al-Kahf will be protected from the evil of the Dajjal (the Antichrist).” (Muslim)
For the majesty of the Glorious Qur'an it is enough that it is the Word of Allah and a true attribute of Allah. The reality is that whatever exists in this world — even, among the creatures of the earth, the Ka'bah and the sacred persons of the prophets (peace be upon them), and among the creatures of the higher world and the unseen world, the Throne, the Footstool, the Preserved Tablet and the Pen, Paradise and its blessings, and the angels nearest to Allah — all these, despite their acknowledged status, are other than Allah and are created beings. But the Glorious Qur'an is not something created by Allah and separate from Him (that is, it is not His creation); rather it is His true attribute (His Speech) subsisting with His exalted Essence. It is Allah's boundless generosity and His greatest blessing that He conveyed that Speech to us through His trustworthy Messenger and made us worthy of reciting it, reading it with our own tongues, and then, understanding it, making it the guide of our lives.
The reward of reciting the Glorious Qur'an and of teaching and learning it needs no description; all the scholars agree that no remembrance carries greater reward than the recitation of the Glorious Word. Reading the Qur'an brings the servant nearness to Allah, illumines the heart with the light of divine knowledge and the remembrance of Allah, and on the Day of Resurrection it will intercede before Allah.
In some ahadith the Messenger of Allah described the virtues and blessings of particular surahs and verses. This blessed hadith mentions the special virtue of Surah al-Kahf, which is specific to this surah alone.
In another narration, the last ten verses are mentioned instead of the first, and in yet another narration, mere reciting is mentioned instead of memorizing. (Muslim)
In another narration it is stated that whoever reads the first three verses of Surah al-Kahf will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal. (Tirmidhi)
The Dajjal will appear near the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will grant him power over certain extraordinary feats, seeing which many people weak in faith will lose their faith; so this trial will be extremely severe and most testing of patience. That is why every prophet warned his community against him, and our Prophet, the noble Prophet, also emphatically warned his community of this trial and urged them to guard against it and to seek refuge from it.
In the light of these ahadith the scholars have said that in fact the introductory passage in the opening part of Surah al-Kahf, and the story of the People of the Cave related along with it, contain a complete refutation of every deception of the Dajjal; and any heart that is granted certainty in the realities and themes stated in these opening verses of al-Kahf will never be affected by any deception of the Dajjal. Likewise, those servants of Allah who, believing in this property and blessing of these verses, preserve them in their heart and mind and recite them, Allah will also keep them safe from the deceptions of the Dajjal.
Another narration states that whoever reads Surah al-Kahf from beginning to end will become luminous from head to foot. (Musnad Ahmad and Tabarani)
Another narration states that whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on Friday, a light (that is, of faith and guidance in his heart) remains shining for him until the next Friday. (Bayhaqi and Hakim)
This hadith shows that Surah al-Kahf has a special affinity with Friday, on account of which the Messenger of Allah particularly encouraged its recitation on that day and said that reading Surah al-Kahf on Friday produces a special light in the heart whose radiance and blessing lasts until the following Friday.
