سب سے افضل لوگ
حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ: ”تم میں سب سے بہتر (اور افضل) شخص وہ ہے جو قرآن کا علم حاصل کرے اور دوسروں کو اس کی تعلیم دے“۔ (بخاری)
قرآن مجید کیا ہے؟ یہ وہ سب سے مقدس اور سب سے عظیم کتاب ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے کاروانِ انسانیت کے سب سے آخری اور سب سے عظیم راہنما رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر نازل ہوئی جو ظلم و جہل کی تاریکیوں میں مینارہ نور، کفر و شرک کے تابوت میں آخری کیل اور پوری انسانی برادری کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے اتارا ہوا سب سے آخری اور سب سے جامع قانون ہے اور جسے ”حبلِ متین“ کہا گیا ہے۔
قرآن مجید تمام کتابوں میں سب سے اعلیٰ و افضل کتاب ہے، اس کتاب کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسانوں کی ہدایت کے لیے نازل فرمایا، اس کتاب کو قیامت تک بنی نوع انسان کی ہدایت کے لیے باقی رہنا ہے، اسے پڑھنے، سمجھنے، اس کی تعلیمات پر عمل کرنے اور اس کی طرف دعوت دینے ہی میں مسلمانوں کے لیے سعادت اور خوش بختی ہے، قرآن مجید اور سنت مبارکہ میں اس کتابِ حکیم کے بہت سے فضائل کو اجاگر کیا گیا ہے۔
قرآن مجید کو کلام اللہ ہونے کی حیثیت سے جب دوسرے کلاموں پر اس طرح کی فوقیت اور فضیلت حاصل ہے جس طرح اللہ تعالیٰ کو اپنی مخلوق پر حاصل ہے تو ظاہر ہے کہ اس کا سیکھنا اور سکھانا دوسرے تمام اچھے کاموں سے افضل و برتر ہوگا، حقیقت یہ ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا سب سے اہم پیغمبرانہ کام وحی کے ذریعے قرآن مجید کو اللہ تعالیٰ سے لیا، اس کی حکمت کو سمجھنا، اور دوسروں تک اس کو پہنچانا اور اس کو سکھانا تھا، اس لیے اب قیامت تک جو بندہ اس قرآن مجید کے سیکھنے اور سکھانے میں مشغول رہے گا وہ یقیناً رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے خاص مشن کا علمبردار ہوگا، اور اس کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے خاص الخاص نسبت حاصل ہوگی۔
اگر ہم غور کریں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسان کو جو حواس عطا فرمائیں ہیں ان سب میں سب سے زیادہ بہتر صلاحیت قوت بیان ہے، تو یقیناً اس سب سے بہترین صلاحیت کا استعمال بھی سب سے بہترین کام کے لیے ہونا چاہیے، اور وہ ہے قرآن کا سیکھنا اور سکھانا، یعنی اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں حیوانِ ناطق بنایا اور قوتِ گویائی عطا فرمائی تو ہمیں اپنی اس صلاحیت کا مصرف بھی عظیم تر بنانا چاہیے نہ کہ اس کا مصرف دنیا ہو، کاش کہ ہمیں یہ معلوم ہو جائے کہ قرآن کا سیکھنا اور سکھانا کتنا اعلیٰ کام ہے، قرآن مجید کی تبلیغ میں جو لمحہ گزرے وہ کتنا قیمتی ہو جاتا ہے اور اس کا کتنا بڑا اجر و ثواب ہے۔
آج امت جو اقوامِ عالم میں ذلیل و رسوا ہو رہی ہے اس کی بنیادی وجہ بھی اللہ تعالیٰ کے اس کلام پر عمل نہ کرنا ہے، آج اگر ہم اس کتاب کو لے کر اٹھیں گے تو سربلند ہوں گے، کیونکہ اس امت کی قسمت تولی جائے گی تو اسی کتاب کی میزان سے، اسی پر طے ہوگا کہ ان کے لیے عروج ہو یا زوال ہو۔
وہ زمانے میں معزز تھے مسلماں ہو کر
اور تم خوار ہوئے تارکِ قرآں ہو کر
اللہ تعالیٰ قرآن کو ہمارے دلوں کی فصلِ بہار، سینوں کا نور بنا دے، ہمارے غموں، پریشانیوں اور دکھوں کو اس سے دور فرمائے، اور نعمتوں والی یہ جنت کی طرف یہ قرآن ہی ہمارا قائد اور سائق ہو، ہمیں رات اور دن کے اکثر اوقات میں اس طور پر اس کی تلاوت نصیب فرمائے کہ وہ ہم سے راضی ہو جائے۔ آمین!

English translation
Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ص said: “The best (and most excellent) of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it to others.”
What is the Noble Qur’an? It is the most sacred and greatest of Books, revealed by Allah to the last and greatest guide of the caravan of humanity, the Messenger of Allah ص — a beacon of light in the darkness of oppression and ignorance, the final nail in the coffin of disbelief and polytheism, and the last and most comprehensive law sent down by Allah for the whole human brotherhood, which has been called “the firm rope.”
The Qur’an is the highest and most excellent of all Books. Allah revealed it for the guidance of mankind, and it is to remain for the guidance of humankind until the Day of Judgement. In reading it, understanding it, acting upon its teachings and calling toward it lies the felicity and good fortune of the Muslims. The Qur’an and the blessed Sunnah have highlighted many virtues of this Wise Book.
Since the Qur’an, as the Speech of Allah, has the same superiority and excellence over other speech as Allah has over His creation, it is clear that learning and teaching it is superior to all other good works. In truth, the most important prophetic task of the Messenger of Allah ص was to receive the Qur’an from Allah through revelation, to understand its wisdom, and to convey and teach it to others. So, until the Day of Judgement, whoever occupies himself with learning and teaching this Qur’an will surely be a standard-bearer of the special mission of the Messenger of Allah ص, and will have a most special connection with him.
If we reflect, of all the faculties Allah has granted man, the finest is the power of speech; surely, then, this finest ability too should be used for the finest work — namely learning and teaching the Qur’an. That is, if Allah made us articulate beings and granted us the power of speech, we should make the use of this ability the loftiest too, and not spend it merely on the world. If only we realised what a lofty work learning and teaching the Qur’an is — how precious every moment spent in conveying the Qur’an becomes, and how great its reward.
The basic reason the Ummah is being humiliated and disgraced among the nations of the world today is also that it does not act upon this Speech of Allah. If today we rise with this Book, we shall be exalted, for this Ummah’s fortune will be weighed by the scale of this very Book; by it will be decided whether they rise or fall.
They were honoured in their age by being Muslims;
And you were disgraced by abandoning the Qur’an.
May Allah make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts and the light of our breasts, remove our sorrows, worries and pains through it, may this Qur’an be our leader and guide toward the Paradise of bounties, and grant us to recite it through much of the night and day in such a way that He becomes pleased with us. Amin!
